The Annual General Meeting of the Swansea and Gower Liberal Democrats will take place on Saturday 25th January, 5.30pm-6.30pm, at the Bluebell Cafe on Tycoch Square, Sketty, SA2 9BL.
The AGENDA for the AGM will be as follows:
1) Introduction and Apologies
2) Reports from Outgoing Officers
c) Membership Secretary
d) Council Group Representative
3) General Election Review
4) Election of New Executive Committee
A list of positions up for election is included below. If you would like to stand for a position, please complete the attached nomination form and return to email@example.com or post to Michael O’Carroll, 102 St Helens Road, Swansea, SA1 3UW, by the date of the AGM. Nominations will also be accepted in person at the AGM.
Where positions are contested, elections will take place by secret ballot at the AGM, using the Single Transferable Vote method. Candidates will be invited to give a one minute speech outlining their qualifications for the role.
I would strongly recommend all members to consider standing for one of the positions. We are an entirely volunteer party and every member who is willing to fulfil a committee/administrative role, frees up other activists to concentrate on campaigning and winning elections.
If you would like to have an informal conversation about standing for any position please contact our Local Party Chair, James McGettrick (firstname.lastname@example.org; 07784 002474).
