Local residents may be aware that Lidl has submitted a planning application for a new retail supermarket and associated works on the former Halfway Garage site on Mumbles Road. Details of the application can be found on Swansea Council’s Planning website.
In brief, it includes demolition of the adjacent residential dwellings (Nos 52 / 50 Mumbles Road) and construction of a retail supermarket (Class A1) - (2,194m2 GEA - gross external area), with car parking (50), landscaping and associated works including improved vehicular access onto Mumbles Road.
You can make your views known to the Council by responding via the website by clicking on the ‘Make a Comment’ button. We are also aware that a meeting organised by local residents is taking place on Monday 15 November at 7pm at the Vivian Hall, where you can express your views.
