Sam Bennett and the Lib Dems are listening even if Labour won't. Sam Bennett and the Lib Dem Council Team’s Motion against plans to build on the Slipway has been rejected by the Council.
Sam’s motion to the Council to stop the development on the Slipway have been rejected by the Council, leaving the decision to the Labour Cabinet - this means Lib Dem Councillors will be locked out from speaking up for residents against Labour’s unnecessary and unwanted regeneration plans.
Commenting Sam said: “Whether Labour want to have this debate or not, the Liberal Democrats are listening to residents. This is not done yet, we will exhaust every practical option against Labour’s war on green space. Every resident that signs our petition helps us win this argument.”
