On Small Business Saturday, Swansea Liberal Democrats have been out across Swansea to highlight the key part of small business in our communities.
Across Swansea, we have a wide variety of small businesses, which provide the backbone to our local economy. It is clear small businesses are facing exceptional challenges. They are often the focus of our local communities providing much needed local services, but COVID has hit these businesses hard and recovery will be slow.
Swansea West Senedd candidate Chloe Hutchinson visited The Anchor restaurant in Swansea Marina along with Castle Ward by-election candidate Sam Bennett.
After the visit Chloe said: "Sam and I are clear that local government, the Senedd, and communities need to do everything they can to support our wonderful small businesses in these exceptionally challenging times."
When we shop local, we help local businesses, which in turn protect local jobs and support our local economy.
Leader of the opposition on Swansea Council and Lib Dem Councillor for Cwmbwrla Chris Holley said "Right across the city Liberal Democrats are leading the calls for the public to shop local and support small business."
