Traffic Calming for Waun Wen

117 of 150 signatures

We the undersigned are calling on Swansea Council and Cabinet to implement traffic calming solutions following the events of February 4th 2021. In the early hours of February 4th a stolen car, without a driver, was let loose to run down Waun Wen Hill. This car then smashed through the bollard on Waun Wen Road and careered into a residents car.

We are calling for:

  1. Concrete blocks to replace the now missing bollard and the existing ones
  2. Traffic calming methods to be introduce the length of Waun Wen Road
  3. Barriers to be put in place to prevent bicycles and motor bikes using the pavement the length of the hill
